Hi, I’m Christian Jara.

I am a UI/UX designer with lead and senior experience on internal applications, websites and digital interfaces. I love helping my company achieve their goals and grow their brand. I am a very passionate designer that’s always willing to grow, learn and try something new. I have years of industry experience either on in-house teams as well as agencies and understand the challenges that come with both environments. I have worked with exceptional companies throughout my career, I love what I do and I work exceptionally hard at improving myself every day. I’m fully capable and effective working remotely or on-site, I take pride in my work and professionalism.

I have over 15 years of User Interface/User Experience Design with a focus on high end services, financial, medical and lately government services as well as e-commerce. I offer my employer a wealth of knowledge in design, usability and web accessibility. Throughout my career I’ve been able to mentor and collaborate with a variety of creative professionals. My constant goal is to create the finest possible solution for both my company and our users. While my creative ability is impressive my end goal is function over form.

Define

Define requires the business and users to have collaborated together, this includes requirements, User cases, and business rules which are essential to the success of the project, for us to know what to fix we need to have user stories and requirements.

Research

Based on requirements my job is to research the project, this includes creating personas, empathy maps, and pain points encountered by the users. By recognizing the issues the users are encountering we can have a better and more educated guess as to how to solve them.

Design

Once the research phase is completed, I then go ahead and start sketching, wireframing multiple scenarios and screens which I will submit and have approved by the relevant stakeholders. Once these wireframes are approved I will then move to High definition mock-ups and full flows which if needed will be interactive, this will help us present a better and more complete user experience to our testing groups.

Test & Support

Once the design phase is approved we move to test, this requires putting our designs in front of users which will then review and guide us to finalize and have a better product by making the appropriate changes.

Once the testing is done I will then work with the developers and provide any elements, prototypes, and mock-ups needed to make the development process move forward. This includes UI kits, graphics, and any color and typeface guidance needed.
